Bourbon Balls

I personally think these get better with a little aging. The first day they can be pretty potent. This recipe is as easy as falling off a log. With a food processor, it is a breeze. Pretty tasty too!!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups vanilla wafers about 75 in one box -- finely crushed
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup finely chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • Granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Crush wafers in food processor along with the almonds.
  • Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Stir in bourbon and corn syrup.
  • Shape into one-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.
  • Cover tightly and chill.
  • These only get better with age. Yields 4+ dozen.
